fact is I don't know what formats to use or how to change them either. When encoding is complete, the Toast window expands and the filename.toast image disappears. When I try to save as a disc image, I get the prompt for a filename, then it begins encoding, and I can see the filename.toast on the desktop. EyeTV can’t make a video DVD on its own you need to move the recording to other applications like Toast 11 Titanium or iDVD for that. I have about 50 VHS movies, many are questionable whether they will stand any more abuse, but I would like to try to get them all on DVD. When I select the video clip and click the Toast button in EyeTV, it shows up fine in Toast. an acquaintance says it can't be done, with the myTV.PVR that I should get eyeTV? another says I just have to push the right buttons.
& burn it to DVD on the Mac I don't know how. properly, taking out the commercials etc. (myTV.PVR allows me to watch TV or transfer DVD & VHS info to my Mac) I would like to edit the VCR info.
I now have 14 mpg files of various sizes on my desktop.

I have since copied the movie to my Mac, editing on the VCR, doesn't work too good. copied it to my old PC using ADS software. Using a VCR I copied the complete 3.5 hr TV movie to VHS.
